Middle School Athletics & Activities

The athletic staff and physical education teachers at the Academy have developed an exciting program for our sixth through eighth-graders beginning at 2:30 daily and ending at 3:30. Any student needing to leave earlier due to bus transportation will be excused at 3:10. Students and families will now have a minimum of four options of athletic opportunities and activities to choose from in the fall, winter, and spring. 

Fall

Three days a week, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, students can choose to participate in one of the following sports: cross country, field hockey, golf, girls & boys soccer, and tennis. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, students can choose to play one of the following activities: frisbee golf, body pump, fitness training, pickleball, and games, including spike ball, bean bag toss, and four square.

Winter

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, students can choose to participate in one of the following sports: girls basketball; boys basketball; outdoor cardio; flag football on the turf; or net games such as badminton, volleyball, etc. in the indoor turf area. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, students can choose to participate in one of the following activities: non-traditional games, including broomball and deck hockey; beach games, including spike ball, bean bag toss, and four square; body pump; athletic conditioning and wellness; or flag football on the turf.

Spring

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, students can choose to participate in one of the following choices: Girls Tennis; Girls Lacrosse; Boys Lacrosse; and Frisbee Sports. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, students can choose to participate in one of the following choices; Boys Tennis; Baseball; Softball; Track & Field; Fitness Training; and Body Pump.
