Sewickley Academy Senior School invites you to an evening where the fairy tales you thought you knew go delightfully off the rails. In The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, the classic stories collected by the Brothers Grimm collide in one fast-paced, wildly theatrical comedy. A troupe of performers attempts to weave together beloved tales — including Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel, and plenty more — into one enormous story.
The result? Characters wander into the wrong tales, narrators struggle to keep everything under control, familiar stories take some very unexpected turns, and the fourth wall doesn’t stand much of a chance.
Performed by Sewickley Academy’s Senior School Theatre Ensemble, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon celebrates the kind of theatre we love: inventive, ensemble-driven, playful, and just a little bit chaotic.
Come ready to laugh, embrace the absurdity, and see what happens when centuries of fairy tales are squeezed into one spectacularly unruly evening of theatre.
