Girls Basketball Battles In Overtime Loss
Congratulations to the varsity girls basketball team for battling back from a 6 point deficit late in the game to force overtime before falling 54 - 48 to A-C Valley in the first round of the PIAA Tournament on Saturday. Junior Sam Smith made a three pointer and was fouled shooting another three pointer and made all 3 free throws late in the game on her way to a team high 21 points. Freshman Bre Warner scored 8 points. Junior Theresa Wilson controlled play throughout the game from the point. Senior Olivia Ryder, who has helped lead the program to straight PIAA appearances, finished her career with 6 rebounds, 6 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
