Robotics Team Gets First-Hand Experience with Functioning Workplace Robot
The grades 6 and 8 students who make up the Robopanthers, Sewickley Academy’s robotics team, were treated to a special field trip on December 13, 2022, to visit Agility Robotics in Lawrenceville.
Students were able to interact with and program the company’s unique, human-centric, multi-purpose robots that are available to function as workers in today’s warehouse spaces. They also met with a panel of robotics engineers and programmers to learn more about the field, their pioneering research, and future career opportunities.
