Sophomore Accepted to PMEA All-State Orchestra Festival
By: Gino Faraci, Orchestra Teacher
Sophomore Sarah Cao participated in a virtual audition and was accepted into this year's Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) All-State Orchestra Festival. In addition, Sarah ranked first chair in the violin II section – an extraordinary achievement.
While the all-state festival, which was originally scheduled for this week, will not be held, the results make Sarah eligible to audition for the next level of competitions that includes the 2020 National Association for Music Education (NAfME) All-East Ensemble and the All-National Honors Symphony Orchestra.
