Coach's Comments
In our opener, which also became a section opener, the Sewickley Academy Panthers were shutout 6-0 by Cornell. The Panthers came across some great pitching from Cornell. John DelVecchio pitched 5 innings, striking out 5 and allowing 4 runs, 2 earned. Cole Karlik then pitched a strong 2 innings, striking out 3, allowing 2 runs, 1 earned. Hudson Bordeau and Jackson Paul each walked twice and Nick Wilson had his 1st career hit for the Panthers. The Panthers were never able to get the bats going and they will be back at home on Friday against Rochester.
