Sewickley Academy's Vision for the Future

Senior School Project

During the summer of 2025, Sewickley Academy will embark on a new and extensive project to remodel the existing Senior School building, which was last expanded and updated in 1999.

This project aims to create a modern, innovative learning environment that is more collegiate, warm, and functional. The building will feature reconfigured spaces and cutting-edge technology to enhance the overall teaching and learning experience.

    • Administrative spaces

  • Enhanced student and group collaboration spaces
  • Updated educational technology
  • First-class safety and security features
  • Expanded use of natural light throughout

Senior School Commons
The Commons is the “social heart” of the Senior School. It is a space that our students use to collaborate on projects, gather as a community, meet for activities and clubs, and connect with friends throughout the school day.

A generous $100,000 gift from the Home & School Association will help to revitalize this space. The updates will provide a more contemporary and collegiate aesthetic with increased natural lighting and all-new furniture, which has been selected with student input. This significant donation demonstrates the Home & School Association's ongoing dedication to fostering student growth by ensuring access to a modern, innovative learning environment.

We are grateful to the Home & School Association and the Sewickley Academy community for making this meaningful contribution possible. This gift—and others like it—will help shape a brighter future for students, faculty, and staff.
