Coach's Comments
In a very well played high school basketball game played in front of a packed house in our Events Center, we pulled out an exciting victory. Credit to both teams for outstanding sportsmanship and to both school's communities for a great show of support. Both student bodies were outstanding in having fun without crossing the lines of respect.
Clutch free throw shooting, 24 of 26, by the SA team that included a remarkable 18 for 18 performance by sophomore Isiah Warfield closed out the victory!!! Isiah led us in scoring with 27 points and in rebounding with 11. Isaiah Smith was 2nd in scoring with 18 points and rebounds with 6 while knocking down 2 clutch free throws with 17 seconds left in the game to move the lead to 3. Senior Dave Groetsch led us in assists with 6. Our seniors capped their home career the right way as Jared Washington played physical defense, especially inside and Will Nocito went 3 for 3 from the field to register 8 points in a clutch performance!
Wonderful team victory!
Go Panthers!
