Sewickley Girls’ Soccer traveled to Winchester Thurston for their section opener on Wednesday. After a quick Winchester goal, Sewickley rallied back with poise and force. Lehka Amin scored two back-to-back goals both assisted by Olivia Ryder. To close out the first half, Lexi Guerin added another goal off an excellent corner kick from Ryder. Sewickley was under pressure in the second half and had some trouble getting their offense rolling again. In the end, the strong showing in the first half was enough and Sewickley walked away with the 3-2 victory. Congratulations on the 2-0 start girls!
