Coach's Comments
On a cool but beautiful day in Wester PA, Sewickley Academy the defending WPIAL champions and PIAA runner-up in the state last season played Peters Township. The game started off as both teams tried to get the edge. Both teams played evenly until Peters scored a goal about 15 minutes into the game. About 10 minutes later, Peters scored their second goal of the game. The half ended 2-0 Peters. The second half started off by a Peters scoring their third goal of the game. Both teams played evenly, until Sewickley was given a free kicks from about 25 yards out. Alex Gordon scored an incredible goal off the free kick to get Sewickley on the scoreboard. The game ended in a 3-1 win for Peters. Playing a strong defensive game was : Max Reyes, Jackson Coles, John DelVecchio, Adam Brown, Alex Gordon, and Jack Duggan.
