Boys Basketball Defeats Jeannette
For the fourth straight year, the Jayhawks from Jeannette and the SA Panthers met in either the WPIAL or PIAA playoffs, and the Panthers were able to defeat the Jayhawks for the fourth straight year in an intense game 47 - 44. Senior Rees Blaylock led SA with 10 rebounds against the aggressive, athletic visitors. Junior Isiah Warfield led SA with 23 points and tied sophomore Max Belt with 7 rebounds. Senior Donald Belt was second in scoring with 9 points. Senior Cole Karlik sparked the team off the bench with 6 points and 5 rebounds. The Panthers held on after Isiah fouled out with over 2 minutes remaining in the game as SA spread the court and senior John DelVecchio took a big charge with 26 seconds remaining in the game.
