For the first time since 2007, SA was in the WPIAL final playing against Beaver County Christian. This was BCC's first time in the WPIAL final. The game was played at Highmark Stadium (home of the Riverhounds). SA started off fast scoring ten minutes into the game. Jack Matten tallied the goal off a free kick by Steve Munn. Anthony Stinson scored the second goal for SA with about eight minutes left in the half. Then with three minutes left in the half, Anthony Stinson crossed the ball and a BCC defender knocked the ball into his own goal giving SA a three to zero lead. The second half was even with no teams scoring any goals. Playing a strong defensive game were; Jackson O’Neill, Jack Matten, Grady Moyer, Keegan MacDougall, and Erik Dietrich. Great job gentleman.
