Boys Lacrosse Concludes Successful Season in Playoffs
The varsity lacrosse team lost to North Catholic 11-2 in the WPIAL quarterfinals. The Panthers finished the season 10-5 overall. Congratulations to the team, especially the 7 seniors, who led the program to a number of firsts: This season marked the first winning season for the Panthers since 2013-2014, the first season with double digit wins since 2012, the first time the Panthers have advanced to the WPIAL quarterfinals since 2010 and the Panthers' first home playoff victory since 2010. Senior captains Jack Wentz and Matt Meakem led the team in goals and assists. Junior Jack Gordon scored both goals in the quarterfinals. Senior Rafay Mahmood, Junior Alex Marquis and senior Chris McEnroe continued their fine play on defense.
Many thanks to our 7 seniors, Edward Feidleburg, Berto Incorvati, Rafay Mahmood, Chris McEnroe, Joseph McEnroe, Matt Meakem, and Jack Wentz for all they have contributed to our lacrosse program! We wish you the best in the future!
