  • Alumna Donates Masks to Sewickley Academy, Other Local Schools and Local Organizations


    Elizabeth “Betsy” (Wiegand ’91) Wentz teamed up with Jason Leviere of Santom Upholstery in Ross Township to produce masks for local businesses in an effort to do their part to contribute and help support those who need protective equipment. Betsy, owner of Betsy Wentz Interior Design in Sewickley, purchased the fabric from Thibaut Fabrics and Santom Upholstery provided the labor.

Cheers, Class of 2020 – Our Graduates are Going Places!


The Class of 2020 is attending an impressive and diverse list of colleges and universities!

Sewickley Academy's Class of 2020 is truly a group of remarkable young adults! Check out some of the exciting statistics below:
  • The SAT average for the Classes of 2017–2020 was 1295. This is 236 points above the national SAT average. The SAT average for the Class of 2020 is 1310. This is 251 points above the national SAT average!
  • The ACT average for the Class of 2020 is 30 versus a national average of 20.9.
  • 95% of the seniors were admitted to a top choice college or university. (Top Choice = listed as “First Choice” or “High Level of Interest” by the student.)
  • The members of this class served a total of 4,760 hours of community service during their time at SA.
  • 15% of the class was recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
  • 56% of the class was recognized by the AP Scholars Program (before senior year).
  • 65% of the Class of 2020 was admitted to a college or university with an acceptance rate of approximately 30% or lower.
  • 25% of the class will graduate with a Global Studies Certificate.
  • SA seniors will attend 38 different colleges and universities in 17 different states and two plan to study internationally.
  • 79% will go out of state to study next year.
