Coach's Comments
Laurel came ready to play as we were clearly off our game in the first quarter due to their play, following behind 10 - 7. Who would have imagined that Isiah Warfield would go on to establish a new SA scoring record in the Events Center as he finished with 42 points! Even better was the fact that he took only 24 shots from the field, going 10 - 17 from the 2 point line and 4 - 7 from the 3 point line along iwth 10 - 11 from the foul line. Isiah recorded a double double with 12 rebounds and led the team with 5 steals on his historic night.
Nate toughed it out on a night where he had a virus, scoring 8 points in the first half before throwing up at halftime which ended his playing evening. Rees had another outstanding evening with 10 rebounds to go with his 2 - 2 from the field for a total of 5 points. Max scored 7 points on 2 - 3 shooting from the field, and John scored 4 points on 2 - 3 from the field. These guys along with Donald and Cole, who hit a big 3 pointer int he the third quarter, do so many little things well for our team that do not show up on the stat sheet!
