Girls Tennis State Champions!
Congratulations to the varsity girls tennis team for defeating Lower Moreland 3 - 2 in the PIAA Semifinals and for defeating Wyomissing 3 - 2 in the PIAA Championship Match to earn the gold medal!!!
In these tense matches, all members of the team found a way to contribute to the successes of the team. Playing singles were three sophomores: Evelyn Safar, Simran Bedi and Christina Walton. Playing doubles were senior Alina Mattson and sophomore Victoria Keller, along with sophomores Aleena Purewal and Emma DiSantis.
This is the second girls tennis state championship in Academy history with the first championship taking place in 2011.
