Coach's Comments

In a very well played match, both teams have much to be proud of after competing so fiercely in wet, windy weather. It's amazing how well conditioned Allegheny Country Club is - after all of the rains these past two weeks, the course was so playable.

JF and Matthew played tough in the first group shooting a 37 and 35 to get us off to a strong start. Matt's combined nines vs QV were 69 this year. Austin and Navin shot 40 and 41 in the second group, making the match tied after the second group. In the third group Tim shot 41, matching Navin, which meant we threw out a 41. Landen came through for us in the final group, heading to the 9th tee at 1 under par. With the out of bounds looming down the entire right side of the difficult 9th hole, Landen purposely aimed at the tree in the left rough. After finding himself behind a tree, he eventually settled for a double bogey, which clinched the victory in a fun, hard fought match!

Good luck to both teams in the upcoming playoffs!

Go Panthers!
