Softball Defeats Mapletown 1st Round WPIAL
Congratulations to the varsity softball team who rallied from a 7 - 0 deficit by scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning for a 13 - 12 walkoff victory in the 1st round of the WPIAL Tournament. Senior Kaylee Paterson drove in the winning run to cap a 4 for 5 day with 4 rbi's. Senior Olivia Ryder went 3 for 4 with 2 rbi's. Junior Theresa Wilson and sophomore Alexis Barlock each had two hits. Freshman Kamryn Lightcap's double in the bottom of the seventh set the stage for Kaylee's game winner.
The Panthers will play Leechburg Monday at 2:00 at the Hampton Community Park in the WPIAL Quarterfinals.
