Hockey Defeats Fox Chapel 1st Round PIHL Playoffs
Congratulations to the varsity ice hockey team for defeating Fox Chapel 6 - 4 Monday in the first round of the PIHL PLayoffs at home in front of a spirited crowd. Junior Andrew Beck registered two goals to lead the Panthers, and scoring a goal apiece were seniors Michael Hertzberg and Thomas Yung along with juniors Matthew Hajdukiewicz and Jack Duggan. Junior Tommy Gordon and sophomore Ben Mohan registered assists. Senior goalie Cole Luther was stellar in goal. The Panthers were tied 2 - 2 going into the third period before exploding for four goals. SA will play #1 seed Bishop McCort Thursday in Johnstown at 7:15.
