Alumni Recognized for Championship Ring
HometownProud dot org recognized Maggie McClain ’14 as a member of the DIII Women’s Lacrosse National Championship Team Gettysburg College.
According to Kerry Miller, HometownProud dot org founder, there were 119 collegiate coaches and/or student-athletes hailing from Pennsylvania high schools who won a national championship ring during the 2017 calendar year. To break it down – 77 males, 42 females, and 96 different high schools were represented, along with 32 out of 67 counties.
HometownProud dot org recognizes coaches and student-athletes who graduated from Allegheny County high schools who earned rings. The site congratulates Maggie, along with four other student-athletes from Allegheny County, who were either on college teams that won a national championship during the 2017 calendar year or won an individual national championship.
