Senior Selected as Finalist for the Chinese Bridge Speech Contest for U.S. High School Students

Senior Pranav Mulgund has been selected to attend the final competition of the 13th Chinese Bridge Speech Contest for U.S. High School Students.

This is the most prestigious and well recognized Chinese speech contest for high school students in the United States. The Confucius Institute at the University of Massachusetts Boston hosts the event each year. This year’s competition will be held on March 31.

Thanks to Senior School Mandarin teacher Jing Zhou, Sewickley Academy students have been participating in the event for the past six years, sending one or two students to the competition each year. “This is the third year that Pranav participated and he was selected to go to the advanced level finals,” she said. “I’m very proud of him.”

Congratulations, Pranav!
