Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a joyous time to remember those who have passed away. In Mexico, ancient Aztec traditions were combined with Christianity during the Spanish conquest. As a result, each year families construct colorful altars or ofrendas in their homes that essentially welcome the spirit of their loved ones on November 1st and 2nd.
Once again our guys came ready to play jumping out to a 17 - 0 first quarter lead. We had 20 assists on our 29 baskets with 5 of those 9 unassisted baskets coming on fast break layups and 3 of them coming on offensive rebounds. Excellent ball movement! Nate and Isaiah led us with 10 rebounds each and Will and Dave each had 7 rebounds. We had four guys in double figures in scoring with Jett, Nate, Isaiah and Isiah whose 17 points led us. Outstanding team defense all night against Canevin's spread offense! Congratulations to Isiah on his first dunk in game action!
