Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a joyous time to remember those who have passed away. In Mexico, ancient Aztec traditions were combined with Christianity during the Spanish conquest. As a result, each year families construct colorful altars or ofrendas in their homes that essentially welcome the spirit of their loved ones on November 1st and 2nd.
Despite playing only 2 and a half quarters, each of our starters scored between 14 and 17 points as the first 8 players had only 2 turnovers among the group. My compliments to our guys for playing with energy and continuing to share the ball so well. We are the only team in the area with five players averaging double figures which is an amazing statistic and great testimony to the skills, the basketball IQ and the outstanding team players we have once again this year! Our three guys who help us off the bench have figured out how to best help this team in so many ways that don't show up in the newspapers' stats!
