Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a joyous time to remember those who have passed away. In Mexico, ancient Aztec traditions were combined with Christianity during the Spanish conquest. As a result, each year families construct colorful altars or ofrendas in their homes that essentially welcome the spirit of their loved ones on November 1st and 2nd.
It's always fun to compete with Shady Side Academy, and today's match was a good preparation for both teams for next week's team playoffs. In his final match at Allegheny, senior Peter Curran shot his first under par round in official competition! Many thanks to our four seniors, Will, Cole, Peter and Dave for all that you have done for our program throughout the years and for making this such a fun season! Hopefully, our season will last a little bit longer.
