Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a joyous time to remember those who have passed away. In Mexico, ancient Aztec traditions were combined with Christianity during the Spanish conquest. As a result, each year families construct colorful altars or ofrendas in their homes that essentially welcome the spirit of their loved ones on November 1st and 2nd.
In a competitive match against our friendly rivals, our guys stepped up their game during the match to pull out the victory. After the first five holes the match was highly competitive as we trailed by a small margin. Our outstanding play down the stretch resulted in another score in the 180's which is outstanding high school golf. Our balanced scoring continues to be a factor in our competitions as all six players are finding ways to contribute. Today we threw out a 41 which is actually the highest score we have thrown out all year.
