Panther Palooza Raises Over $1,100 for Animal Friends

The Sewickley Academy community rocked out during the second annual Panther Palooza in Rea Auditorium on Friday, May 12.

Eleven bands performed in the student-organized event, including De Minimus, Wacky Shack, All Shook Up, The Wildcards, and Matt Plays Tambourine. Seniors Ciara Donohue, Ben Clouse, McKayla Cox, and Millen Schuchert teamed up to perform covers of folk songs as well.

The "pit" was very energetic, filled with Middle and Senior School students dancing around and interacting with the performers on stage.

“We do not know the exact number of attendees, but we know that we doubled in attendance due to the money we raised,” Millen, the creator of Panther Palooza, said. “Last year, the price of admission was $10, and we raised $1,010 for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. However, this year the price of admission was $5, and we ended up raising $1,152.42 for Animal Friends.”

Rock on!
