Two Middle School Students Take Second Place in PRSEF
Two Middle School students placed second at the Covestro Pittsburgh Regional Science and Engineering Fair (PRSEF) on March 31 – April 1, 2017, at the Carnegie Science Center.
Grade 7 student Srimayi Mulukutla took second place in the intermediate medicine/health/microbiology category, and Grade 8 student Prateek Adurty placed second in the intermediate chemistry category. Sophomore Saarang Mulukutla also participated in the competition.
The Carnegie Science Center’s website states that the competition is open to all students in Grades 6-12 from the 23 counties within Western Pennsylvania and one county in Maryland. The Science Fair has been a Pittsburgh tradition since 1940. It is also the third oldest science fair in the United States under the affiliation of the Society for Science and the Public, which facilitates the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.
Congratulations to all our young scientists for their efforts!
