Sophomore Snaps the Big Apple at The New York Times Summer Academy
Over the summer, sophomore Erin Mahoney ventured to the Big Apple as a student in The School of The New York Times Summer Academy – winning an honorable mention for her body of work in the Photojournalism Challenge.
Grade 7 Student Selected as Broadcom MASTERS Semifinalist
Grade 7 student Srimayi Mulukutla was selected as one of the Society for Science & the Public and Broadcom Foundation’s 2017 Top 300 competitors in the seventh annual Broadcom MASTERS for her project, “Antibacterial Effects of Copper Surfaces.”
By the mid-1920s, both Miss Munson and Miss Dickinson were nearing their retirements and concerned about the future of their schools. Working with the community, they consolidated their separate schools to form the fifth and current Sewickley Academy in 1925.
