We are incredibly proud to share that Sewickley Academy Senior Katie Serafin has won the Three Rivers Arts Festival's Emerging Artist scholarship through the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust for the second consecutive year.
The scholarship provides Katie with a complimentary and fully-equipped 10'x'10 booth space and tent for the Three Rivers Arts Festival June 2 - 11, 2023. Additionally, the scholarship opens up mentorship and networking opportunities.
Katie will man her booth daily June 2 - 6 between noon and 8 pm. Showcasing her tremendous talent, she will be selling her work and sculpting "LIVE" during the festival. She will also take commissions to sculpt busts for people.
Per the scholarship program website, "Established in 2002, the Emerging Artist Scholarship Program of the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival provides individuals with little to no experience exhibiting in festivals the opportunity to take an important first step towards a future in fine art and craft shows. The program supports the growth and longevity of fine arts and fine crafts in the Pittsburgh region with a special devotion to introducing new art forms to the Festival and new audiences to emerging artists."
