Sometimes It's All About Who You Know

SA's Senior School Peer Mentors group (a selection of Grades 11 and 12 students who meet with Grade 9 students to help them with their transition to Senior School) developed a "Goosechase" for the Grade 9 advisory students to give them the opportunity to connect with adults around campus with whom they may not otherwise interact.
The ninth graders were given only the adult's title, and once they found the correct person, they chatted to determine a shared interest or commonality. They then took a picture with their new contact and detailed what it is that they have in common. All participants had a lot of fun. Great job to the Peer Mentors for not only helping the SA's Freshman Class learn what faculty, staff, and administrators do on campus, but also providing them with connections they can turn to whenever they may need assistance in the future.
