Academy Tennis Player Captures WPIAL Singles Championship!

Seeded fourth in the WPIAL Singles Tournament, sophomore Ashley Close defeated the #1 seed from South Park in the semifinal in three sets, including coming back from a 3 - 0 deficit in the third set, and defeated the #3 seed from Knoch in two sets to capture the WPIAL Championship! Ashley will compete in the PIAA Singles Tournament in Hershey the first week of November.
