Girls Lacrosse Concludes Record Breaking Season PIAA Semifinals
Congratulations to the varsity girls lacrosse who concluded the season with an 18 - 8 loss to Manheim Township in the PIAA Semifinals. This was the furthest a Sewickley Academy girls lacrosse team has advanced in the PIAA Tournament and only the second time a WPIAL school has played in the semifinals (Mt. Lebanon 2016). Many thanks to all 24 players and our 3 coaches for all their hard work, skills, sacrifices, sportsmanship and commitment which resulted in a special season with so many incredible highlights!
Our seniors, Mia DelVecchio, Emma DiSantis, Elsa Gordon, Ellie Hughes, JJ Jardini, Mary Kai Kalenak, Victoria Keller, Kamryn Lightcap, Marta Michael and Ellie Zack, have served as role models through their joy for the game and their devotion to their teammates. Twice in their careers, they have led our program to states and, in the process, have left a legacy of excellence!
