Girls Lacrosse Defeats Mt. Lebanon in Dramatic Finish!

Congratulations to the varsity girls lacrosse team for defeating Mt. Lebanon 18 - 17 in the PIAA Quarterfinals to advance to the Semifinals for the first time in school history! The Panthers won in dramatic manner by scoring the winning goal with only 4 seconds remaining in the game, giving SA its first lead of the game! Senior Ellie Zack converted a Lebo turnover in the last 25 seconds of the game as the Panthers raced up the field. Senior Emma DiSantis, who led the team in scoring with 6 goals, attacked the goal, drew a double team and fed senior Elsa Gordon who scored her 4th goal of the game with just 4 seconds left in the game!
 
Senior Ellie Hughes had 5 goals for the afternoon, and freshman Kendall Sykes scored 2 goals. Senior Victoria Keller and freshman Ashley Close along with Elsa successfully rotated at the draw throughout the game. Seniors Mia DelVecchio, JJ Jardini and Kamryn Lightcap provided strong defense all afternoon.
