Let Them Eat (Pan)Cake(s)!

On Saturday, October 19, Sewickley Academy held its 12th annual Pancake Breakfast in honor of our local heroes and first responders who keep us safe – thank you!

This year, over 130 people attended the breakfast and our community raised $785, which will be split equally between the Sewickley and Edgeworth Police Departments and Cochran Hose Fire Company.

Cochran Hose Fire Company parked a firetruck near Melodia Plaza and encouraged attendees to explore the vehicle and ask questions. Head of School Mr. Kolia O’Connor offered rides around the parking lot in the Academy's antique firetruck (donated by Jamie Wardrop '57) to excited children and a few of their parents.

Thank you to our student volunteers – freshmen Mary Grace Gordan, Kaitlyn Hayden, Elena Mohan, and Ashton Ragoowansi, sophomore Ella Sanfilippo, and juniors Aidan Ragoowansi and Jeb Stevenson – and to our Senior School Registrar Debbie Mankowski and her husband, Michael, for serving at the breakfast.
