Boys Tennis Ends Season in Playoffs
The varsity boys tennis team played a grueling 3 hour match with Upper St. Clair Wednesday in the first round of the WPIAL AAA Tournament, eventually falling 3 - 2. Junior Arjan Bedi continued his superb season by defeating his opponent in 2 quick sets at #1 singles. Senior Saraang Mutulutka battled his opponent at #2 singles losing in the third set 6 - 4. Junior Alex Billiar defeated his opponent at #3 singles in 2 sets. Senior Jayvir Monga and sophomore Cole Rychel lost in 2 sets at #2 doubles. This set the stage for #1 doubles where the team of juniors Will Stevenson and Jeremy Gu won the first set and lost the second set. With everyone watching them finish their match, the team from USC was able to pull out the very well played team match.
