Jaydon Kurian Wins Middle School Spelling Bee
Grade 6 student Jaydon Kurian will advance to the Western Pennsylvania Spelling Bee after winning Sewickley Academy’s Middle School Spelling Bee on Thursday, February 7.
Jaydon, who correctly spelled “prevaricate” as the championship word, successfully spelled all the words through nine rounds of Sewickley’s Spelling Bee.
The entire Middle School, as well as Grade 5 students, competed in the classroom round of the bee on January 22. Ten students advanced to the final.
The regional bee will take place on March 9, 2019, at Robert Morris University in Yorktown Hall.
