Join the Million Dollar Race
Help us cross the finish line to secure the million dollar prize! An anonymous donor has agreed to match every new gift to the Events Center up to $1 million which means every dollar you give counts for two.
For instance, your $50 gift turns into a $100 donation or your $1,000 gift equals $2,000, etc.
In 2013, Sewickley Academy launched a capital campaign to secure funds for the renovation of the Oliver Science Building and funding of the new Events Center and Means Alumni Gym.
For Who We Are.
Guided by our mission to engage, challenge, and prepare students to succeed in college and in life, and to instill in them a desire to make an impact for good beyond themselves, Sewickley Academy has a long tradition of innovation in teaching and learning. With the help of alumni, parents, and friends, we continue to not only meet but also anticipate the ever-changing needs of our dynamic community of learners. Only by doing so can we remain the region’s premier independent college preparatory day school for generations to come.
For Who We Will Become.
The Oliver Science Building renovations were finished the summer 2014, and the next project in the Academy’s Master Plan was the Events Center, a space for our entire community to gather together plus sorely needed expanded and enhanced athletic facilities, which opened at the beginning of the school year and was dedicated in the fall 2016.
Now that both buildings are open, we are on the leading edge of STEM education – enabling the success of current and future generations of SA students. The buildings are being used for academic study in the sciences, math, and robotics as well as athletics and physical education, and meeting spaces.
We Need Your Help More Than Ever.
We ask that you join with our Board of Trustees and generous alumni, parents, and friends to fund this important project. Given how far we have come, we know that with your help, we can achieve this goal! Please join in sustaining and strengthening our ability to ensure all students are prepared to compete, succeed, and thrive in college and in life.
