Introduction to Drawing and Painting

This summer art program will introduce students to the process, mediums, and experience of drawing and painting. Students will explore artmaking in a number of different materials and formats including charcoal drawing, still life drawing and painting, perspective drawing and painting, landscape painting, and more open-ended abstractions and collages. Class materials will include pencil, charcoal, acrylic paint, paint brushes, masking tape, sketch boards, drawing paper.

Additional Information:
Artmaking materials can be messy and leave stains on skin and clothing. The materials used in this program should wash off with water and soap but care should be taken when making art to avoid stains. Aprons will be provided for participants who would like to wear them.
