College Acceptances

Sewickley Academy graduates from the Classes of 2017 – 2020 have been accepted to the following colleges and universities (Class of 2020's college choices are in bold). The numbers in parentheses indicate the number of acceptances to these schools over the past four years. This list reflects an incredible range of colleges and universities in terms of size, setting, and geography. Equally impressive is the fact that the total number of students in these four classes was only 268, but they garnered 1,131 acceptances to 298 different colleges and universities in 43 states, the District of Columbia, Canada, Europe, and Mexico. While we recognize that the quality of an education is nearly impossible to rank, we also recognize that college rankings are one measure that people use to assess institutional strengths. If you pay attention to rankings, you will note that a remarkable 441 of those 1,131 acceptances were to schools ranked in the Top 50 of U.S. News & World Report’s National University and National Liberal Arts College rankings, and 143 of those acceptances were to schools ranked in the Top 25!
