Three Students Win Awards at One of Nation's Largest Science Fairs
Three Academy students participated in Carnegie Science Center’s 76th annual Pittsburgh Regional Science & Engineering Fair (PRSEF) on March 27.
Three Academy students participated in Carnegie Science Center’s 76th annual Pittsburgh Regional Science & Engineering Fair (PRSEF) on March 27 and were recognized out of the 1,100 student participants from schools throughout the region.
Prateek Adurty (Grade 6) won a Junior Category Award for taking fourth place in the Life Science category and also received a Certificate of Excellence from collegiate award judges. Saarang Mulukutla (Grade 8) won an Intermediate Category Award for taking first place in the Earth/Space/Environment category. Chelsea Carver (Grade 9) competed in the Senior Division and won a sponsor award from the Air Force for her paper on the study of the Zebra mussel in the Great Lakes Area.
