As Pittsburgh's oldest co-educational, college preparatory, independent day school, Sewickley Academy prepares students for a lifetime of success by inspiring them to reach their full potential as curious, courageous, and compassionate learners.   • The four-year SAT average for the Classes of 2007-2010 is at an all-time high: at 1945 on the 2400 scale. This score is 436 points above the national SAT average!

Facilities

  • 770 students in Grades PK through 12 with all grades on a single 16-acre campus
  • Located approximately 12 miles northwest of Pittsburgh
  • 60 classrooms, four computer labs, nine science labs, two greenhouses, a media center, two libraries with a total of 33,600 volumes, and two student publishing centers
  • Two gymnasiums, four athletic fields, a fully-equipped fitness center, and five tennis courts support our 12 varsity teams
  • Fine arts programs are supported by visual and performing art studios, music practice rooms, a black-box theater with seating for approximately 150, Rea Auditorium with 635 seats, and the Campbell Art Gallery

  • A highly diverse student body from 55 school districts in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia
