Sewickley Academy will celebrate its 175th Anniversary throughout the 2012-2013 academic year. This year-long celebration will feature a variety of events to build community, celebrate our rich history, and give back through community service.

Founder's Day - Friday, October 5, 2012
Founder's Day kicked off the celebration with an all-school day of games and community-building fun. All students participated in this day that included school trivia contests, athletic competitions, art and music activities, and more. See photos from the day.
Reunion Weekend - Friday-Saturday, October 5-6, 2012
The annual Reunion Weekend celebration featured a variety of additional activities to commemorate the school's 175th Anniversary, including the SA history presentation and guided tours, and archival display. See photos from the weekend.
Veterans Day Assembly- Friday, November 9, 2012
All veterans, servicemen and women, and their families were invited to participate in this special ceremony commemorating the service and sacrifices made by those in uniform. This year’s speaker was Goldwyn Harper ’00. He addressed Middle and Senior School students during the annual assembly, visited with Lower School students during the morning meeting, and shared his experiences with individuals Senior School history classes throughout the day.
175 Reasons to Serve - Friday, April 5, 2013
On Friday, April 5, Sewickley Academy hosted its second annual Day of Service, a full school day committed to service projects both on and off campus. This student-led event demonstrates Sewickley Academy’s commitment to the service of a greater good.

SA Athletic Director Win Palmer facilitated an inspiring dicussion with three-sport athlete Kimwood Partenheimer '71, renowned golfer Carol Semple Thompson '66, former assistant coach of women's lacrosse at the University of Pennsylvania Gloria Lozano '00, and current star basketball player at Davidson College Tom Droney '10, about their unique experiences with sports and how those experiences have shaped their lives.
