The end of the year brings many awards for students. Below is the list of Middle School awards.
American Legion Award
The American Legion Award is given to the girl and boy who best represent those qualities of character and ability which, we believe, when properly cultivated and nurtured, will result in worthy citizenship and well-correlated adulthood. Qualities taken into consideration by eighth graders in selecting these recipients were courage, leadership, scholarship, honor, and loyalty.

Partenheimer Award
The Partenheimer Award is given annually in fond memory of Mr. S. Partenheimer to that Sewickley Academy Middle School male who best exemplifies the highest ideals of true sportsmanship.

Isobel Brooks Award
The Isobel Brooks Award is given by the class of 1958 in memory of Isobel P. Brooks to the Middle School female who represents the high tradition of Sewickley Academy in sportsmanship.

John W. Heagy Award
The John W. Heagy Award (formerly the Alumni Award) is given annually since 1994 to the students who have made the greatest contribution to Sewickley Academy during the previous year. The recipients’ names have been engraved on a memorial bowl in memory of Mr. John W. Heagy, former Middle School Head, whose leadership of the Sewickley Academy Middle School was characterized by wisdom, dedication and integrity.
