At the end of each school year, the entire Sewickley Academy Lower School participates in Field Day, a day where students in grades 1 through 5 are divided into two teams – a black team and a red team – and compete in various physical relays, sports, and activities. This year’s Field Day is planned for Monday, June 4, and will celebrate the theme of the Olympics.
Each team will be divided into 16 multi-grade level groups, representing various countries that compete in the Olympics. All team members are encouraged to make flags and create songs and cheers for their countries and teams.
Also, this year’s special guest for Field Day is the Robert Morris Track and Field team, including Head Coach Michael Smith and seven to 10 athletes.
