Senior School

Sewickley Academy's Senior School prepares it students for the 21st century through an academically rigorous curriculum, robust art and theater programs, and all-star athletic teams, all within the setting of a nurturing community. Through a wide variety of foundational, as well as elective, courses and programs, students are challenged to use their talents and skills each day. The Senior School also emphasizes the importance of character and maintains a community of respect.

Teachers encourage young people to reach their full range of potential - whether that be in the classroom, athletic field, theater, or the art studio. Small classes and a tradition of close relationships between student and teacher allow students to explore issues beyond their immediate environment. The Senior School's advisory system matches students with a teacher who serves as the student's advocate and mentor throughout their time at the Academy.

As a college preparatory school, the Senior School offers a broad range of high level courses, including honors and Advanced Placement programs. Graduates of the Academy are accepted to a broad range of competitive colleges and universities, and most are admitted to their top-choice school.
