Greetings from the Assistant Head of School, Academic Affairs

It is with pleasure that I welcome you to Sewickley Academy, where the premier educational experience available in the greater Pittsburgh area is offered to students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 on a beautiful campus that reflects the unity and integration of its core beliefs and values.

Divided into three administrative divisions whose proximity facilitates cross divisional projects and student mentoring, Academy programs are integrated in one, continual, sequential, developmental program. Within this environment and conceptual framework, the Academy experience is more than that of a great school. Students and families who choose the Academy experience are drawn to the power of a united community devoted to the mission of educating the hearts, minds, and hands of its students.

At the Academy, students are encouraged to become the best that they can be. Through its many programs that cut across all divisions, the Academy fosters the development of strong character, intellectual curiosity, an appreciation for diverse points of view, and the skills to solve problems, to work collaboratively, to question and probe, to compete and perform.

Our graduates leave the Academy with a love of learning, the practical skills to get things done, the self-confidence to compete successfully, the moral character to live ethical lives, and a clear sense of responsibility to the community.
