Playing our home games on Nichols Field, arguably the most beautiful high school athletic setting in Western Pennsylvania, Sewickley Academy lacrosse is built on three basic principles: teamwork, dedication, and respect for the game. Through adherence to these principles the lacrosse program achieves not only success on the field but enjoyment of the sport and a valuable team experience for all players.
Sewickley Academy lacrosse competes in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Association(WPIAL) and the PIAA. Membership in the Midwestern Scholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association (MSLCA) gives players the opportunity to travel to other schools out of the region and compete as ambassadors of the school. The MSLCA season culminates with a weekend where all sixteen teams play at one site, an excellent opportunity for Sewickley players interested in playing at the next level to showcase their talents for college coaches.
From the first practice of the year through the last whistle of the season's final game, Sewickley lacrosse players strive to represent themselves and the Academy to the best of their abilities. To sum up in one word: PRIDE.
